Well Sunday last was quite something. The Bridal Show was attended by close to a 1000 attendees, all looking for information to help them with their planning. A wonderful attraction for couples from Alberta or other, far off locations who are looking at the Okanagan for their Destination Wedding. Here they can research multiple suppliers at one stop, or find a wedding planner to assist them.


I was most fortunate to speak with almost 150 brides–to-be and even some of their fiancés, mothers and brides maids. It was great meeting you all and listening to some of your wedding plans and even stories of wedding jitters. I had bridal bouquets available so some of the girls could practice holding them, which helped them get in the Bridal mood.


There was such a hub of excitement from the visitors and gorgeous color and presentations from the floral, décor and cake exhibitors. Awesome wedding gowns and the three models sitting in mannequin poses were a fantastic addition to the show.

I am a Florist with 18 years experience and could have done the flowers for the booth, but instead I enlisted my long time colleague (Debra Olstad) to create some fabulous floral arrangements for me.

Congratulations go to Jen Wilson, of West Kelowna who won my booth prize for a “Wedding Planner” binder. This book is a place she can keep all her wedding ideas, plans and arrangements in one convenient, fully transportable file.
