Tori & Charles- A Backyard, Celebrity Filled wedding

I have finally received these photos that I can now share with you all. I was thrilled when I met Tori and Charles for the first time last year, before their August 2009 wedding. Immediately I could sense how sweet and sincere Tori is and Charles, as I learned, is the "most perfectly ROMANTIC man" of all time. What an awesome couple they make. Perfect looking and perfect together. What added even more excitement than my being able to assist them with their Wedding, Decor and Florals, was to learn that there was a notable celebrity to be in the bridal party. Everything was very hush hush and very secretive at the time, which added even more elation to the event.

A bridal party member (cousin of the bride) had been a key player in the reality TV show "The Bachelorette". Well I can tell you the Hollywood excitement surrounding this couple's special day was buzzing, yet we all had hopes that the Paparazzi wouldn't show up and crash their party. The family members and guests who came from Alberta, Toronto and the Lower Mainland, were asked to keep the date and location a secret.

Tori and Charles had decided on a small backyard wedding at Tori's parents home in Kelowna, the sunny Okanagan Valley. They wanted to keep it small, but as her mum puts it, "with our Gi-normouse family" it's difficult to do. Tori really is a sun gal and loves the heat, so an outdoor venue seemed appropriate to take in the Okanagan's summer, al-fresco style. Most unfortunately there were clouds and rain on their special day, but Tori's such a tropper and didn't let the situation get the better of her. It was an incredible party, a poolside casual affair, with great time spent celebrating their love with family and friends.
The couple had met at a local golf course. Tori and her Dad were out for a round of golf. As Tori was walking out of the clubhouse prior to they're teeing off, she mad eye contact with Charles who was just coming in. The rest is history. They found one another on that day and make the most perfect match. E-Harmony couldn't have done any better! They love sharing time together over a bottle of wine and an incredible meal with friends and family. Both are fabulous cooks......Charles is the savory chef and Tori the baker. Perfect complement to one another in everything they do, even in the kitchen. How many of us can say that?
All I can say is it was a special day when I met this very down to earth couple, their fun loving family and friends and I even got to meet The Bachelorette and her special man, in person. Can't beat that.
It was an honor and I wish them many, many long years together, celebrating their love.

Wedding Destination: Okanagan

Planning a destination wedding? Does the idea of jetting down to a sunny resort and standing barefoot on the beach to recite your vows, excite you? Destination locations provide opportunities for relaxation and sightseeing in unknown territory with a little something there for everyone on your guest list. No wonder they have become so popular!
Make it easy on yourself and consider BC's Okanagan area, encompassing the 5 resort towns of Penticton, Summerland, Peachland, Kelowna and Vernon surrounded by mountains, lakes, fabulous weather and award winning wineries, for a nuptial retreat. Couples all over North America are discovering the Okanagan to combine a unique wedding with a fun, affordable vacation for themselves and their guests. However, planning long distance has its obstacles and can create stress for the soon to be wed couple.
You Can do it all Yourself - But is it really worth the risk?
Planned right, a destination wedding is truly the most unique way to commemorate your special union. Unfortunately we've heard quite a few horror stories over the years from brides and grooms who chose to plan their wedding entirely on their own. If planned well, you can create a vacation that is both affordable for your guests and unforgettable - but if not planned well, can be disastrous.
"Negotiate" directly with vendors at your own risk!
Because destination weddings mean traveling away from home, you and your guests will need plenty of time for planning. You'll need time to research. You must deal with the local suppliers. Hiring a wedding planner who is a destination specialist in that area, ensures experience in working with reputable vendors and resorts and will help you deter any potential problems.
So, Where do you see your nuptials taking place?
On the BEACH with the lake as your backdrop, at a WINNERY, or in a spectacular floral GARDEN, at a RANCH astride horses, on the greens of a GOLF COURSE, or in the most lavish CRYSTAL PALACE resort and spa? All can be at your reach in the Okanagan. Being a vacation destination already, it offers extensive amenities and fun sports for you your family and guests with plenty of beaches, sunshine and warm temperatures, luxury resorts, great shopping, fine dining and many hot night spots.
Once you have decided that you want to get away to "tie the knot" DESTINATION STYLE, in the Okanagan Valley, where do you start?
Hiring a Wedding Planner like "A Stylish Affair", will make all the difference. Accredited, trained, experienced and knowledgeable....someone who can make your dreams come true, just as you envision them. Leaving you stress free and happy to enjoy your special day with your fiance, family and freinds, just as memorably as it should be.
So, for all you North American couples or those more distant, considering having your wedding in one of North America's hottest destinations...look no further. You've found your perfect Canadian wedding destination with some of the most idyllic settings for tying the knot.
