Evening Everyone!

Here I am very late, or should I say very early in the am, writing about my WILD evening in Kelowna. I'm so hyped there's no way I can sleep right now.  I offered my services this evening at the "Wild Woman, Wise Woman" annual fundraising event for this foundation.

Well I can tell you it was a crazy, WILD evening to be sure.  The theme this year: Release the Goddess Within! Close to 200 goddesses showed up at the Kelowna Yacht Club for an incredible evening of fun, laughter and comradery and I can tell you these women know how to party.  All in aid of raising funds in the City of Kelowna and surrounding areas for the betterment of health, education and welfare of women & children in Kelowna, Canada and the world.

The 3 special and most worthy recipient groups this year:  NOW Canada Society to help women, Elizabeth Fry Foundation Empowering Changes and Heroes Kelowna to help children.  These very generous women participated in Live and Silent auctions, raffles and games all night long.  Incredible music, champagne flowed all night, Greek Food Buffet and a host of entertainers from The Loose Hip Sisters (Belly Dancers), Latin Ballroom couple, Hula Hooper, and let's not forget the two very manly Grecian Gods who bared their chests and flexed their pecs for the ladies.  The place was rockin!

The real jewel in the crown, however, is the resort's 40,000-square foot spa.  Tinus Pietersen is the Wellness Manager at Sparkling Hill's KurSpa, and he says they want to teach guests real lifestyle changes.  What it amounts to is a whole lot of pampering and relaxation coupled with bouts of alternative healing therapies.  What bride, groom, bridal party member or  guest wouldn't be thrilled with the anticipation of  pampering treatment to de-stress before the wedding.

Even the 72-hectare parcel of land known as Mount Royce, where the footprint of Sparkling Hill sits on a granite rock face, provides stunning views of nature.  While taking in a short hike its commonplace to bump into a handful of deer and marmots.
