Michele and I are in the midst of planning her 2011 destination wedding in Kelowna, Okanagan. She found this very cute and original idea for a guest book made up of puzzle pieces. Owner Lara of Etsy store Bella Puzzles Too creates custom puzzles made of your favorite engagement picture, your monogram, a saying, or a collage of travel photos etc. She can create any kind of puzzle, with mementos that you and your fiance have collected. It can be a rectangular puzzle, one shaped like a tree or the province you are from, or the shape of a heart - anything you wish. You could even use them as place cards.

Your guests can then sign a piece of the puzzle with their message to you or advice on your wedding day. This definitely makes for a very memorable keep sake. Above all this is an easy item to transport to your destination wedding.

Wedding puzzles make a unique guest book idea, a wedding activity and an heirloom all in one customized package. As a keepsake idea, Michele is going to have it framed in between 2 panes of glass, so it can be seen as the finished picture on one side and all her guests comments on the other and hung in a prominent location for viewing.

There's a nice symbolism here -- we assemble our weddings, our marriages, and our lives from our families and friends, and so it's not just a picture of you, it's your community coming together and every piece is critical. Sweet!
