Childhood sweethearts whose love continues to grow. Such a down to earth couple. Geena is the timeless classic bride with a touch of Bohemian in her. Mark being a sports celebrity has a pretty awesome lifestyle, but they both stay well grounded with their preference for a simple life. Their shared love of hiking, camping and family (including their 2 dogs Duke + Daisy) keeps them on track. The couple had many childhood memories vacationing in this area, hence the selection of a wedding venue on the lakeside. Highlight for the couple was when Geena and her dad arrived by boat and did a fabulous grand entry to their ceremony. I envisioned a bride falling in the water or some mishap, but it all went smoothly. Geena's frugal nature offered some creative details to their day with many DIY projects she made herself, from the stationary to the covers on the chocolate bar favors, "He" and "She" aisle markers, table numbers on logs, personalized goodie bags for each of the children, and even a nod to their love of canine friends with the Humane Society donation box ...... A classic black and white damask color palette, infused with sunshine yellow. As sunny as the bride and grooms dispositions.
