Stylishly Elegant: Final preparations for Elizabeth + Jason
Elizabeth and Jason's Sparkling Hills Resort wedding is this weekend, and last minute details and preparations are coming together. After months of planning for this East Coast couple, I can't wait to see the beauty of their day unfold. Sparkling Hill Resort is the perfect venue for them. The multi faceted beauty of this resort reflects this couple's tastes entirely. Modern European inspired design and luxury with minimalism, the Swarovski crystal infused elements throughout emulating natural elements found outside. Absolutely enchanting!
Elizabeth's mum lives in Alberta, much closer than the couple, so she has been the driving force behind all the details and planning. Elizabeth and some of her bridesmaids are Graduates of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet school and present and former ballet dancers. So the stylings should match the polish and demeanor of the bride.
The couple's wish list for their day, was a sophisticated, formal event, with no kitchy elements, elegant but not stiff. Good food and wine, a planned reception agenda, thoughtful inclusions for their ceremony and foremost they wanted their guests to enjoy everything the Okanagan Valley has to offer during their stay here.
So ultimately their day is proving to be glorious!
THEME: Formal, sophisticated, urban chic, black tie - wed luxe styled, ample and modern florals
COLORS: Champagne/black with some silver accents, and crystals
WEEKEND'S EVENTS: Meet and Greet reception for guests, Winery Tours, Rehearsal Luncheon at Predator Ridge, Wedding Day celebrations and Day after Brunch
DECOR/STYLING:
custom made champagne matt satin linens and napkins
crystals hanging from the ceremony arbor emulating the sparkle of the sun on the background water
volumes of glass and mirrored vases cascading with hydrangeas, roses and orchids
rhinestone ribbon bands on glass cylinders
voluptuous satin ribbon cascades from the banquet room door handles
mirrored trays and seating chart
crystal accents on formal stationary
mirrored photo frames for table numbers
masses of floating candles
serenades from classical latin guitarist
solo live performance during ceremony
classical ceremony music
black tux and cocktail apparel
"Hand Blessing" within the ceremony
No detail has been spared. From the exquisite gifts for the bridesmaids to the couples monogrammed stationary or the Winery Tours for the guests, all has been planned to perfection. So stay tuned for all the details of this fabulous wedding! I'm excited as you can tell. Can't wait, the bridal couple are flying in today. The girls and guys will be pampered with Kur Spa treatments and wrapped in luxury, surrounded by their closest friends and family. The countdown is on!
